Our advise is to set a date for a wedding at least 18 months ahead. Why? Naturally wedding reception halls, wedding photographers & other ceremonial service suppliers have high demand, & due to this reason you may unable to reserve their date sometimes. Take a couple of days for information gathering of wedding photographers & videographers,  bridal dressers, wedding reception halls, hotels, & etc.

Select at least three photographers & three videographers that suit you the most by deciding on their previous workouts. Compare between the quotations & decide which suit the best according to your budget.

* It's important to get ideas of photographers & videographers when selecting wedding & homecoming reception hall, because lighting & colours of the reception hall may affect photos & videos.

Now decide where you are going to hold the wedding ceremony & homecoming party, with having a rough idea of how many guests will be invited. Visit each desired location & prior to make a decision & place the booking as early as possible. If you have to visit ten hotels, visit all ten.

If it is a Poruwa ceremony, decide & make the bookings on an Ashtaka person, Jayamangala Gatha, & Welcome dancers. May be one person may organize them all including the providing of Porwa. Make all the other bookings such as Florists, Bridal Dressers, Makeup Artists.

Don't miss any bridal shows, wedding related exhibitions within this period prior to wedding.

Wedding magazines & world wide web will be a definite help in deciding all the above.
